Meet The Family
The Inspiration for our FLOWER POWER Book
Mark is the patriarch of our family and we would not be who or where we are without him.
He is a jokester, prankster, goofball and the life of our party!
He is our fix anything, build anything, always making us laugh, dream big, visionary of the family.
He is the hardest working man we know and is our strength in every way.
He is a multi-award-winning Green Home Designer/Builder in NC and his passion for quality, integrity, his clients, family and the earth is evident in all he does. Married for 23 years and still having fun!
He is our Scottish "MacGregor" in the book, the protector of our field.
Meet Our Amazing Children Below - See The Girls and The Boys!
We wanted to share with you the real-life versions of the Characters in the Book. :-)
THE GIRLS
Lacey AnnMarie (the young lady in the red dress in the picture below) is our firstborn. She is 20 years old, a CNA and in school to become an RN.
She is strong, independent, self-disciplined, hard-working and loves to help others.
She is athletic, loves the outdoors and adores all animals.
** Fun Fact:
The flower choice for Lacey came from her nickname, Fluff. Her curly hair always seems to create a halo effect around her face.
She is our spunky, sassy "Dandelion" in the book.
She is strong, independent, self-disciplined, hard-working and loves to help others.
She is athletic, loves the outdoors and adores all animals.
** Fun Fact:

Abigail (the young lady in the blue dress in the picture below) is our second daughter. She is 19 years old, and an Arts student.
She is the talented illustrator for this book, and you can read about her in the front of the book and on "The Creators" page.
Abby is perpetually happy, sees the good in everyone and everything and loves to be with people.

When she was a little girl, we called her LadyBug, hence the ladybug on every page of our book.
She is our always cheerful "Daisy" in the story.
She is the talented illustrator for this book, and you can read about her in the front of the book and on "The Creators" page.
Abby is perpetually happy, sees the good in everyone and everything and loves to be with people.

THE BOYS
Dawson Avery (the gentlemen in the white polo-shirt in the above picture) is the baby of the family. He is 16 and a rising Sophomore.
He is generally liked by all who meet him, and his teachers enjoy his wit, humor and respectful attitude in the classroom.
Dawson is a people person with great communication skills, a charming personality, and is smarter than he knows.
He is athletically inclined and enjoys all sports but really loves to sing and is very much into fashion.
Dawson completes our family perfectly and adds a dash of fun and laughter to everyday.
He is our "Dudley" the brown-eyed Dung Beetle brother in the book.
He is generally liked by all who meet him, and his teachers enjoy his wit, humor and respectful attitude in the classroom.
