Sherri Dyer

Author

Sherri has a Bachelor of Art’s degree in Acting with a minor in English and has always enjoyed the creative process, whether on stage, in front of the camera, or on the page. 

However, the idea of writing a book wasn’t even a thought until she had children and realized how much she cherished her story-telling with them before bedtime. 

It was from these moments that this book was birthed. 

A labor of love, inspired by precious moments of imagined worlds and adventures, of make-believe characters with fun voices that captured the attention and giggles of her children and their friends.

Being able to partner with her youngest daughter, Abigail – a humble but dedicated artist, who always seeks to make others smile – to create this beautiful story of love and acceptance, is beyond any dream she could have imagined. 

Abigail’s creative talent was evident very early on and through encouragement and instruction from her extremely artistic Father, she has grown immensely and has a clear vision of the calling for her life.

She hopes that the critters you will meet in this book, will bring you lots of smiles and some intentional connecting moments between parents and children enjoying this book together.

Sherri's desire is to give you as a parent an opportunity to share some life lessons, brought to life in a way that your children will want to emulate these positive behaviors, and will help you as a parent to build a foundation of the love, kindness and acceptance that changes the world.

Sherri has been a Realtor since 2007 and loves her career helping others realize their home ownership dreams. 

While she has won many awards for production and stays busy serving in her church and the community, her greatest rewards come from being a wife and the mother of four amazing children who are the inspiration for this book.

Meet The Artist

Abigail Dyer

Illustrator

Abigail has graduated at The University of North Carolina Greensboro, with BFA majoring in Painting. Her talent has already been acknowledged by having had her work chosen to be part of the school’s online art and literary magazine.
   
She realized her calling in life at a very young age and spent her middle and high school years developing her talents, which besides drawing and painting also include sculpture.

Her passion is to share her art with the world and she is thrilled to be working on this colorful book. When she took on the task of illustrating this book for her Mother’s beautiful stories, she had to admit, it felt like a dream. 

When she began drawing the pictures, Abigail became again the five-year-old girl that her Mom would tell these stories to. She made the words come alive. She wanted her illustrations to make you feel a part of their story; to feel their joy and laughter and even the occasional sadness that the flowers experienced.

She wanted to create a place for parents and their children to have fun and learn together, creating memories like she did with her parents. 

She enjoyed illustrating the stories in this book, which are inspired by her family and some of their favorite things to do together, like their mutual love of amusement parks and star gazing. 

During her work, she was keenly aware how through these adventures, life lessons abound, and how each of those moments her Mom has captured, were opportunities her parents used to teach her and her siblings the foundational lessons of being a good human being.

Abigail has had an amazing adventure working on this book, creating something for you and your family to share and hopefully cherish forever.
   
She has enjoyed working with her Mom, who is her inspiration and best friend, and whom she admires greatly for working hard to making her dream a reality. 

She can’t wait for you to enjoy her talents, while building and sharing your treasured moments with your family.
Abigail loves to learn new things and she dreams of traveling the world, experiencing other cultures, expanding her vision and bringing joy to others through her art.
   
She looks forward to owning several art galleries to continue her love for creating, as well as being able to raise a family and to read this book to her children one day.
